AIDO CHAT

privacy policy

Last updated: 6 October 2026. This page covers the Google Play build of AIDO CHAT (com.aido.type). No login is required to read it.

what AIDO CHAT is

AIDO CHAT is a system keyboard that suggests reply chips and writing tools in your voice, for any conversation. People use it for school, work, friends, family, and dating chats. This policy covers the Play build. Google Play delivers updates for that build. The app does not download or install its own packages.

account

You can create an account with Google sign-in or email and password. We store your Firebase user id, email, and display name so the app can keep your persona, credits, and device keys. Account creation is optional for browsing the store listing; signed-in features need an account.

data we collect

  • Name, email, user ids — account management. Not sold. Firebase is a processor for auth.
  • Persona answers — so chips sound like you. Optional. Stored on our API. App functionality.
  • Voice audio — only if you choose voice onboarding. The live audio is streamed to Google (Gemini) or OpenAI so the session can listen. You can type instead. We keep the resulting persona text, not an audio file. Those model providers are processors.
  • Chat context for Suggest — when you tap Suggest, visible chat text can be sent to our API so replies match the thread. Screen text is recognized on the device; the image is not uploaded. Optional. App functionality. Model providers we call to generate text are processors, not independent sharing partners.
  • App package name — which chat app you were in when you asked for a chip. App functionality.
  • Approximate location — optional. If you allow it, we send a city or region name with a Suggest request so a reply can use where you are. We do not collect a precise map pin, a background trail, or a location history. The area name can remain in that suggestion's prompt. You can skip the permission or turn it off in system settings.

We do not collect an advertising id, contacts, or photo-library uploads.

what stays on the phone

Ordinary keystrokes stay on the device unless you ask for a suggestion or a writing transform. Keyboard preferences stay on the device. That on-device use is not collection.

permissions

The keyboard (IME), optional microphone, optional approximate location, and optional accessibility chat capture exist so Suggest can see the thread you are answering and, if you allow location, your area. Location is read while the app is open and used only when you tap Suggest. Capture is not always-on. Payment apps are skipped. You can revoke these in system settings.

ads

AIDO CHAT shows no ads and does not use an advertising id.

children

AIDO CHAT is a suggestion keyboard, not an adults-only product. Children, teenagers, and adults can use it. The app does not ask for an age and does not block younger people.

Suggestions follow the message on screen. A dating chat is one use case. A school note or a family text is another. Ordinary typing stays on the phone until someone taps Suggest.

The app is not a children's game. It is the same keyboard for everyone. We do not sell personal information. To remove a child's account, email privacy@aido.app.

delete your account

In the app: open the store tab → delete account. That deletes your cloud profile, stored threads, notes, and personas, then asks you to sign in again and deletes the Firebase account. If you used Google, Google access is revoked. Sign-out and uninstall do not delete the account. There is no way to delete only part of the account.

If cleanup fails after the cloud delete, email the contact below from the address on the account.
